Though original plans were to keep one puppy from the litter, we kept all three: our girls Karma, Shadow and Magic. |

Kismet's puppies were born by caesarian section, for reasons unrelated to breed and size. It's something any responsible breeder is prepared for! The vet staff presented Kismet with a cozy box and a litter of clean dry daughters, to which Kismet responded: "Thank you very much, but I do not belong in a box, I belong on Mother's lap. Hand those wiggling things out of the box up to me, would you please?" Served as requested, she then proceeded to re-wash and re-dry them. This is Shadow (top), Magic (front left) and Karma (front right) the following day, nursing once again on a lap, where they spent most of the next couple weeks until they were ready to start playing and exploring. |
