Zephyr's Feathered RainbowDiamond Doves |
---|
Geopelia cuneata | |||||
19-24cm (7½-9½in), 28-43g (1-1½oz) Australasian dove. Diamond Doves get along with many other small birds, and can be kept in a colony, given sufficient space and an appropriate male/female ratio. Adult males have a thicker eye ring and longer coo. When courting hens, they will bow and display their tail like a peacock. In the wild-type colouration, males are bluish-grey and hens are brownish grey. Mutations include fawn, silver, red and white-rumped. Our breeding flock is for sale. |
